CANCELLATION, INTERRUPTION, AND DELAY POLICY
The goal of Ton Prof de Sciences is to provide the highest quality education so that our students can progress in their training while developing good study habits and a commitment to their own education.
In this article, we will outline our policy on cancellations and delays in our classes.
Cancellation policy specific to intensive courses
In the context of intensive courses, which are group classes, no session can be made up in case of a student’s absence, regardless of the reason. Indeed, the content and learning progression are designed for the group as a whole. Likewise, in case of lateness, the class will start at the scheduled time and no waiting time of more than 5 minutes will be granted.
If half or more of the students in a group class are absent, the teacher reserves the right to cancel the class for the entire group.
Ton Prof de Sciences will attempt to reorganize the classes to fill vacant spots, provided that absences are communicated sufficiently in advance.
Cancellation and One-Time Rescheduling Policy for individual classes
Ton Prof de Sciences has limited resources for conducting classes. Therefore, a last-minute cancellation incurs the same cost as delivering the class, and we believe that this cost should be partially or fully transferred to the student. To avoid this, we offer a fairly flexible class rescheduling policy. Finally, we understand that there may occasionally be force majeure situations that prevent the student from attending class and do not deserve a penalty.
In general, our policy is aimed at preventing absenteeism.
1) Free Cancellation: The student may cancel the session free of charge provided that they notify us more than 72 hours in advance of the scheduled date. If notified less than 72 hours in advance, the student forfeits the right to cancel the session but may reschedule it for free (see point 3).
2) Force Majeure: Ton Prof de Sciences offers free cancellation of the session in the event of force majeure. This situation is understood as an exception due to personal illness, illness of a dependent family member, or an accident, among other unforeseeable misfortunes. For this reason, Ton Prof de Sciences reserves the right to request a justification for the absence from the student. We also appreciate being informed as soon as possible if this situation arises.
3) Free Rescheduling: The student can reschedule the session once, free of charge, provided that they notify us more than 24 hours in advance of the scheduled date. If notified less than 24 hours in advance, the student forfeits the right to reschedule the session.
In any other case, whether due to cancellation with less than 72 hours’ notice without justification or because it is no longer possible to reschedule the class, the following penalties will apply:

- In case of cancellation between 72 and 48 hours, the student must pay 50% of the session fee if they do not request to reschedule it.
- In case of cancellation less than 48 hours in advance, the student must pay 100% of the session fee if they do not request to reschedule it.

Delay Policy
Ton Prof de Sciences understands that scheduled classes begin whether the student is present or not. However, the decision of whether the class can be made up, when, and how much time should be made up is left to the discretion of the teacher.
Class Interruption Policy
Ton Prof de Sciences requires some time to find new students to keep the groups balanced. We appreciate our clients informing us of any potential suspension with sufficient notice.
If a student suddenly decides to interrupt classes with us, they must inform us of the suspension with a notice period equivalent to two sessions.
If the student does not meet this notice period, Ton Prof de Sciences reserves the right to charge a penalty equivalent to two full sessions.
